  • Avoidance of places and people associated with the trauma
  • Inability to recall certain aspects of the trauma
  • Being easily startled
  • Frequent outbursts of anger

One of the techniques I use to help you heal from past abuse and violence is called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is a well respected, well researched treatment for trauma, and I am an experienced practitioner. I can explain the approach to you and you can determine if it seems right for you.
